Kristof and Darfur

I’ve given you guys a lot to think about today, but I also wanted to point out this opinion piece by Nicholas Kristof in the New York Times. He has received a lot of criticism over this piece, for various reasons. @TexasinAfrica and @ViewFromtheCave have some interesting perspectives that I’d encourage you to check out and think about. In particular, if we think about questions of poverty and development as does the book, Poor Economics, how does Kristof’s telling of the stories relate to what you already understand about economic development and the impact of aid?
